I didn't physically choose to have a lifetime of ET contacts. When I did have contact it completely shattered my life from what belief system I was currently in. It took me years to get over the PTSD from the incident. So first off I would ask you to consult with your higher self, guides, etc, to make sure it is right for you because the encounter will alter your life drastically. And then let go of that desire and let life unfold for you like you wanted before you were born. If it happens it can be amazing. Or not. You never know how you will react physically with the event. This for sure, once you have an encounter there is no returning to life as it once was before the event.
